A SHORT FIELD GUIDE

Less figuring out.
More making things.

A few ways to get somewhere interesting.

01

Start with a source.

Upload an image or video, paste an image, or choose from the 12-image library. Shuffle source cycles through the examples while keeping your current filter and settings. Your source keeps its original aspect ratio.

02

Make a look your own.

Start with a style or a saved look. Grain print adds broken ink and soft duotone color. Photocopy gives you hard toner and speckled edges. Glass tiles bend the image in two directions. Posterize reduces the color range. Every control stays editable.

03

Build a character.

ASCII supports classic, detailed, binary, and block characters. Cell size controls detail. Choose a single ink or colors sampled from your source, invert the character density, and use contrast, brightness, and gamma to shape the result. Ink is the text color; paper is the background.

04

Think inside the boxes.

Add up to eight effect windows. Drag a window to move it, drag its lower corner to resize it, and choose its effect in the panel. Arrow keys move a focused window; Shift + arrows resize it. Each window uses that style’s starting look. The rest of the source stays untouched. Selection outlines are never exported.

05

Find the right frame.

Upload a video, pause it, and use Video position to choose a moment. Effects and textures still respond while paused. Use this frame turns that moment into an image you can keep editing. Export a processed silent WebM loop at up to 720 pixels (clips up to 30 seconds), or capture a 4K still. Complex effects take longer to render; frame timing stays consistent.

06

Undo. Start clean. Keep going.

Reset to original clears effects, textures and added layers without replacing your source. Undo brings the previous look back. Effect strength at zero shows the untouched source; at one it shows the full treatment. Original mode also gives you a clean starting point for color and texture work.

07

Take it with you.

Export a PNG with a 3,840-pixel longest edge and the source’s aspect ratio. Save downloads an editable project including your source media, text fills, cutouts and history. Get Link carries your settings and a library source when one is selected. Personal uploads stay on your device, so a recipient supplies their own image unless you explicitly export an image or agent bundle.

See what happens.
